The Role
Are you detail-oriented, people-focused, and energized by variety in your workday? Join the Human Resources team at Multnomah Athletic Club (MAC) as an HR Coordinator and play a key role in supporting a dynamic and service-driven workplace. This position is the go-to resource for employees and managers, providing day-to-day administrative support across the full spectrum of HR - from recruiting and onboarding to data management and internal communications. You'll keep the department running smoothly and help foster an exceptional employee experience.
This is full-time, fully on-site role at our club in Portland, OR.
What You'll Do
Support employees and managers by responding to inquiries, providing guidance, and ensuring a positive, confidential, and professional HR experience.
Assist with recruitment efforts, schedule interviews, coordinate and execute new hire orientations, and ensure accurate documentation and file maintenance.
Manage data entry, reporting, and updates in the HRIS (Dayforce), keeping sensitive employee data secure and well-organized.
Oversee departmental communications through phone, email, ZenDesk, and internal messaging, ensuring timely and clear information flow.
Support compliance-related documentation, file management, and reporting, including audit preparation and record-keeping.
Assist with special programs, events, and projects bringing organization, hospitality, and attention to detail to everything you do.
Work closely with the HR team, supporting Benefits and Generalist functions as needed.
What You'll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred; 2+ years of administrative experience, HR experience is a strong plus.
Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with care.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with or willingness to learn HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred).
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, people-first environment.
