Duties and Skill Requirements :
- Test and inspect products at various stages of the production process; compile and evaluate data to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Interpret engineering drawings and diagrams; collaborate with management or engineering staff to determine quality standards.
- Analyze inspection data to assess product conformance and process capability.
- Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards to optimize quality within equipment capabilities.
- Prepare First Article Inspection reports in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements, including material, processing, and dimensional data, incorporating CMM reports.
- Ensure products and documentation meet customer specifications and are properly inspected and maintained.
- Initiate Non-Destructive Reviews (NDR) for suspect nonconforming materials or products; liaise with QA Manager for actions and dispositions.
- Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of inspection equipment for optimal utilization.
- Collaborate on fabrication and installation activities to ensure conformance to engineering designs and customer specifications.
- Experience with operating / programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using PC-Demis software and interpreting CMM reports is a plus.
- Support manufacturing operations through daily activities, process improvements, organization, and cost reductions.
- Facilitate source inspections by customers.
- Follow Quality Management System procedures and instructions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Ensure measurement tools and equipment are calibrated and maintained.
- Properly identify, store, and handle hazardous materials and liquids.
Education and Experience :
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 2-3 years of related manufacturing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aerospace background preferred.Additional Details :
