As Corporate / Senior Corporate Counsel you will work collaboratively with the rest of the company as part of our legal team to drive growth and ensure the company’s continued success. Your main duties will include supporting Origami's Sales and Service departments in the contracting process with existing clients and prospective clients, reviewing and writing various internal policies, negotiating and managing vendor contracts, and other legal tasks as assigned.

Starting base pay for this role is between $140,000 and $175,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).

Responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, and negotiates a broad spectrum of agreements including SaaS agreements, partnership agreements, technology agreements, web-based terms and conditions, leases, and non-disclosure agreements.
• Communicates with internal stakeholders, clients, and vendors as part of the negotiation process.
• Researches legal issues (including changes in state, federal, and international law), drafts executive summaries, and communicates research findings to internal stakeholders.
• Provides sound, practical legal advice, identifies legal risks, and executes appropriate risk mitigation strategies for the company and its affiliates.
• Consults with senior management, outside counsel, tax experts, accountants, and other advisors, as necessary.
• Negotiates and attempts to resolve potential legal disputes.
• Works on special projects with senior management, other members of the legal team, and outside counsel, as necessary.
• Assists with key legal department initiatives (such as tasks related to agreement templates, process improvements, and system implementations).
• Completes additional projects, as assigned.
