Our core services include Rides, Meals, Classes, Care, and Advice.
We are seeking a dedicated Program Coordinator to help advance our mission of offering diverse programs and events that foster community connection and support the needs of older adults. These programs span social, recreational, nutritional, and educational areas. In collaboration with Healthy Aging Program Leaders, the Program Coordinator will work closely with internal team members and external partners to plan, develop, and implement both existing and new activities for participants.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and organize classes / events that address the needs of the community based on surveys, client interest, and current applicable research
- Create promotional content for digital and paper newsletters, website, and other communication and outreach channels
- Record daily class attendance and accurately enter the data into Salesforce and other designated systems
- Set-up and break-down for classes / events
- Provide communication and support to volunteers and instructors who are contributing to the delivery of healthy aging programs
- Outreach to current clients about upcoming events, workshops, and presentations
- Outreach to potential presenters, guest speakers, and teachers to offer relevant and engaging workshops and classes
- Identify classes requiring additional promotion and ensure they are sufficiently advertised
- Provide tracking and reporting for grants and contracts
- Work with the Marketing Team to ensure classes, workshops, and special events are posted on social media outlets, in local publications, and in community calendars
- Crosstrain in Guest Services duties to provide support when needed
- Participate in agency-organized volunteer events
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experienceExperience in event planning, organizing, and promotionKnowledge of principles and methods used in organizing, conducting, supervising, and measuring programs and activitiesExperience with performing data collection and reporting with high attention to detail and accuracy.Knowledgeable in safety practices and proceduresAbility to meet deadlines, employ strong organizational skills, and juggle multiple prioritiesAbility to work independently, with receptivity to feedback, and as part of a teamExcellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft applications as well as SalesforceCompensation and Benefits :
$27-$32 an hour (depending on experience)Benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, life, retirement, paid time off, holidays, and more.
