Overview
A leading heavy civil and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex water, wastewater, and streetscape projects from concept through completion. This individual will be responsible for driving all phases of project deliveryplanning, execution, financial control, and team leadershipwhile maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Communication
- Provide clear project direction and maintain strong communication with owners, design partners, field teams, and senior leadership.
- Build and motivate high-performing project teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Represent the company with professionalism and integrity at all times.
Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop and manage master project schedules, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.Review design documents, perform takeoffs, and define subcontractor and supplier scopes.Manage submittals, RFIs, and change documentation in coordination with engineering and field teams.Partner with superintendents to maintain accurate short-term schedules and resource plans.Execution & Quality Control
Oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring compliance with specifications, budgets, and safety standards.Lead project coordination with clients, engineers, and inspectors to address challenges quickly and effectively.Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and quality expectations.Financial & Risk Management
Control project costs and maintain profitability through proactive forecasting and financial tracking.Produce monthly cost-to-complete and sales projections for leadership review.Drive positive project cash flow and mitigate financial or operational risks.Technical Expertise & Safety
Demonstrate strong understanding of civil, structural, mechanical, and utility systems related to heavy civil and water / wastewater construction.Support field supervision in maintaining a culture of safety and compliance.Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management , or related discipline.5+ years of experience in project management with a self-performing heavy civil or water / wastewater contractor.Proven success managing projects from $3M$20M+ .Prior field experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or Field Engineer is strongly preferred.Strong estimating and cost control experience.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Proficient with scheduling and project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, AutoCAD, Vista, or similar).Why This Opportunity
