The Foundation :
For A Bright Future Foundation (“FABF”) is a US-based 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization created to support the needs of underrepresented and underprivileged children through health, education, youth leadership and the power of storytelling. Our primary vehicle is our scholarship program for underprivileged and underrepresented children in a variety of fields. We have funded children’s hospitals, media centers, internships, leadership opportunities through our ambassador programs, and sports leadership development organizations. We also support several local community charities and cultural enhancement organizations. We have near term goals to implement media labs and fintech labs in schools across the country, leveraging relationships among and between local communities, businesses, schools and donors to execute our vision.

Position Overview :
Reporting to the Founder & Chairman, the Development Director will be directly responsible for successfully creating, leading and implementing an integrated resource development strategy and developing new relationships, while maintaining existing relationships to build the organization's visibility, impact, and diversify its financial resources. This individual will be responsible for raising private sector funds to support the Foundation’s initiatives and leading the development and implementation of organization-wide strategies to increase the fundraising capacity. This will involve identifying, organizing and coordination of fundraising activities for the Foundation with a focus on unrestricted funding sources and new opportunities to obtain ongoing and increased support from corporations, foundations, public and private organizations, and individuals. Additionally, this position will work closely with the Foundation’s marketing team to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan designed to support FABF’s fund development activities. The FABF Vice President of Development and Marketing will interface closely with other leadership team members and with the FABF Friends of the Board Advisory team and support board members as they take on a more active fundraising role and will lead efforts in cultivating and soliciting major gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations and others. The successful candidate will have a robust network of contacts and will help forge new relationships to build FABF's visibility, impact, and financial resources.
