Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of MRI experience and current ARRT(MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB certification.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital-based radiology department with 244 licensed bedsPerform MRI studies for ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populationsAverage of 23 MRI studies per day, with higher volumes on weekdaysServe a large population of medical device patients and perform cases requiring anesthesia as neededNo cardiac imaging performed in this departmentDepartment uses Epic EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, Philips iSite PACS, and GE 1.5T SIGNA Artist 450W MRINo floating requiredNo call responsibilityTravelers will be scheduled to work 75% of holidaysBlack scrubs requiredResponsibilities include performing and documenting MRI studies, reviewing patient histories, and administering IV contrastAssist anesthesia and other medical personnel for procedural supportAdhere to hospital safety, infection control, and emergency policiesOrientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding and up to 1 week of department training as neededTech assistant support provided on overnight shifts, as well as guest services and transport for patientsSurface lot and parking deck parking is available at no costRequirements
Minimum of 1 year recent MRI experienceCurrent ARRT(R) or NMTCB and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certificationBLS certification requiredNo NC licensure requiredMust maintain knowledge of MRI safety practices for patients and staffMust be skilled in patient assessment, contrast administration, and operation of MRI equipmentExperience charting in Epic EMR preferredTraveler's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facilityFirst-time travelers will be consideredLicense required if applicableBenefits
