Temporary Administrative Assistant

Are you looking for a meaningful short-term opportunity to contribute your office support and customer service skills? The City of Middleton's Senior Center is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant to support our team during a staff leave of absence. This temporary role offers a chance to work in a collaborative, professional environment while making a meaningful impact on the lives of older adults in our community. In this role, you will :

  • Perform a wide range of clerical and accounting tasks, including financial transactions, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and a variety of others.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by answering phones, assisting visitors, and providing accurate information.
  • Maintain accurate records including contracted services and updating employee leave reports and personnel records.
  • Order and track inventory.
  • Complete special projects and other job duties as needed.

Other experience and qualifications : The ideal candidate will bring :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in office or administrative support, accounting, or a closely related field is required.
  • Working knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and standard office equipment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
