Sr. Mechanical Builder / Quality Point

Location : Zeeland, MI

Pay Rate : $55,000 annually

Position Overview

The Sr. Mechanical Builder / Quality Point is responsible for turning engineering designs into high-quality finished products while maintaining rigorous quality standards. Working closely with the Program Manager, Production Coordinator, and build team, this role serves as the main contact for all quality-related concerns. The position involves hands-on mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across a wide range of projectsfrom basic fixtures to advanced robotic work cells.

Key Responsibilities

Perform pneumatic plumbing, system setup, and mechanical assembly of specialized machinery

Interpret mechanical and pneumatic blueprints with precision

Operate manual machining tools such as lathes, mills, and surface grinders

Tune, test, and troubleshoot mechanical systems for optimal performance

Apply strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude to daily work tasks

Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and resolve build and quality issues

Support project management activities and uphold consistent communication standards

Maintain exceptional attention to detail and ensure adherence to quality requirements

Qualifications

310 years of hands-on mechanical or machine-building experience

Strong mechanical aptitude across multiple disciplines

High school diploma or GED required; Journeyman certification preferred

Solid understanding of mechanical blueprints and pneumatic systems

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

Project management experience a plus
