Position Overview

The Facilities Key Database Intern helps maintain and improve the safety of the campus, to create and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and the community, by assisting the Facilities Department with obtaining, compiling, and entering all campus employees, vendors, keys, and keys issued in the MegaMation Database. These positions will assist the Building Access and Safety Supervisor with taking inventory of all Buildings, Keys, and entering the inventory and keys issued cards into MegaMation Online, to enable quick reporting of mechanical key access by building. This internship works on a quarter-by-quarter basis.

Essential Functions

Entering locks, keys, and employees into MegaMation.

Entering all data on current mechanical keys issued to employees and vendors into MegaMation.

Drives service trucks as required

Qualifications

Duties of the position required experience :

Comfort with learning new technology and software

Required conditions of employment :

Must be a current TCC student.

Ability to follow oral instructions.

Ability to get along well with others

Possession of a valid unrestricted driver's license.

Duties of the position require knowledge, skills and abilities :

Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet web browser, and email

Ability to accept personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, ability to learn from mistakes, and be proactive with identifying solutions to prevent future issues. Able to be relied upon to achieve excellent results with little need for oversight.

Excellent customer service skills; including establishing, building and maintaining internal / external customer satisfaction.

Communicate promptly and responsively to the needs of the department and college community; including communicating with supervisor, end customer and customer's manager about work order status.

An understanding and willingness to follow applicable laws, regulations and other standards to establish and / or maintain a safe work environment.

Ability to analyze and resolve problems.

Terms of Employment

These part-time student hourly positions are bound by the WAC 357-04-045 provisions above. Scheduled to work up 16 hours per week and on a quarter-by-quarter basis. The work location is the TCC main campus. The salary is $20.00-$20.00 per hour. TCC Part-time hourly and student employees including work study students, will accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked. Hourly non-student employees may be applicable for comprehensive health care benefits package for you and your dependents includes medical, dental and vision insurance.
