Job Title : Maintenance Mechanic – Packaging
Pay Rate : $34.34 / hr + $1.25 / hr differential
Schedule : 2-2-3 rotating shift (every other weekend off)
Shifts :
- 1 Openings on Night Shift- 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 30 AM
Position Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our Packaging team. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving the performance, reliability, and safety of production and facility equipment. You will complete preventive and corrective maintenance across a wide variety of industrial machinery to support safety, quality, efficiency, and uptime goals.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on equipment to ensure reliable operationTroubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsMaintain and repair ASRS systems, conveyors, and other machinery—requires climbing up to 10 levels using fall protectionUtilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log time, parts, and work performedAdhere to and enforce all safety, health, and environmental procedures including Lockout / Tagout, confined space, and arc flash protocolsMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all timesCommunicate clearly with area owners and supervisors regarding job status, issues, and delaysSupport continuous improvement and reliability efforts through root cause analysis and focused projectsUse hand and power tools appropriately, ensuring proper care and storagePerform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managersQualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent requiredStrong working knowledge of industrial maintenance across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, SOPs, and equipment manualsBasic computer skills for logging work and reviewing maintenance recordsAbility to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and pallet jacksExperienced in welding and basic fabrication preferredFamiliarity with food safety maintenance procedures and GMP complianceMust complete all required safety, health, and environmental training in a timely mannerStrong communication skills—written and verbalAbility to work independently and adapt to a fast-changing environmentMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand / walk for extended periods, and work in a wet, noisy, and physically demanding settingWhy Join Us?
