Position Summary\nPhoenix Children's is excited to announce an opportunity for a full-time Circulating Nurse in our Main Surgery unit. Join a team of exceptional surgeons, techs, radiologists, and nurses to provide outstanding care in a trauma hospital surgery unit. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of circulating nurse experience, Periop 101 training, and a deep commitment to delivering quality patient care.\n\nThis role involves collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families to enhance patient health through professional nursing care tailored to the patient's age and condition, following established nursing and medical care standards. Your expertise will contribute to exceptional patient outcomes.\nPosition Duties\n
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments considering the patient's age, condition, and various factors, identifying compliance with treatment plans per unit guidelines.\n
- Evaluate patient responses to care and communicate findings effectively with the healthcare team and families to ensure clarity on patient progress and needs.\n
- Participate in the team's efforts by adhering to medication, storage, and documentation standards to maintain compliance and safety.\n
- Orient patients and family members to the unit's policies and procedures to facilitate their understanding of care delivery.\n
- Supervise and guide the patient care activities of assigned team members, offering feedback and maintaining high standards of safety and infection control.\n
- Collaborate with the patient care team and families to implement comprehensive care plans, participating in patient rounds and care conferences.\n
- Foster a supportive learning environment by mentoring students and new hires, sharing best practices in patient-centered care.\n
