DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this vital position, you will be one of the first individuals that our community members will interact with when they seek our agency's services. Our team will rely on you to provide a positive impression on behalf of Wayne County Human Services, Transportation Department. Your responsibilities will involve helping new consumers sign up for services, helping existing consumers effectively use services, and completing tasks both independently and as assigned by the team (Director, Operations Manager). You will utilize a computer, telephone, and tablet to dispatch drivers and vehicles, answer calls, schedule trips, appropriately route calls, and maintain electronic and written records. Developing and applying a good operational understanding of the Wayne County Transportation System is key for success in this role.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 37.5 hours per week, and the schedule will vary between 4 : 00 AM and 9 : 00 PM, Monday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch. Employee may have irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• May have overnight travel or out of County travel for meetings or training.
• Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
