Security Officer - DOD Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer - DOD Armed Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero / Defense, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a leading aerospace and defense location. This armed and driving post involves monitoring assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. You will play a key role in upholding our values of agility, reliability, and innovation, while working in a team-oriented environment that puts people first and always acts with integrity.

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry and exit to restricted areas within the location, in accordance with site requirements.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and / or unusual circumstances in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site personnel to address security-related concerns specific to the aerospace and defense environment.
  • Maintain readiness to respond to emergencies and / or alarms, following established procedures for an armed post.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must possess a Level III Armed Certification for roles in Texas.
  • Must have an active Texas Armed Security License.
  • Must have an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
