Responsibilities Position is in an acute hospital care setting within the Care Coordination (Case Management) department Adult patient population with a 1 : 20 patient assignment ratio Responsibilities include case management and utilization review Uses Midas, InterCall, Cerner EMR, Curaspan, and Microsoft Office 8-hour day shifts with every other weekend required and first to float Potential for 12-hour night shifts if experienced in ED and willing to work nights Floating required to all adult areas of the hospital, excluding areas without relevant experience Business casual, conservative dress code with lab coats required Must be able to adapt quickly, demonstrate flexibility, and work with minimal supervision Responsible for care coordination, discharge planning, and efficient utilization review Month-long assignment includes four days of web-based charting orientation and two days with a preceptor Must provide coverage for two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's); specific holiday time off not guaranteed Excellent attendance record is expected; minimal time off requests preferred Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year Lab coats must be worn with business casual attire; no open-toed shoes or strong fragrances permitted Requirements Active California RN license required at time of consideration Current BLS certification required Minimum of 3 years hospital experience, including acute care coordination Experience with Midas, InterCall, Cerner, Curaspan, and Microsoft Office is required Demonstrated proficiency in discharge planning and utilization review Must have recent CA Dignity / CommonSpirit acute care experience Two professional references required : one supervisor from the past 12 months and one supervisor or peer from the past 3 years Copy of driver's license required for consideration RNs must pass Relias Dysrhythmia exam and sterile technique test during orientation Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620206.
