job_description.job_card.job_descriptionManages a $15 $25 million portfolio of projects annually Accountable for the definition, planning, scheduling, execution and successful completion of assigned programs Creates program level plans in collaboration with IS development teams that are aligned with the project management framework Ensures that assigned programs are delivered within estimated hours, established completion dates and approved budget Provides thought leadership and guidance for the QA team Identifies and appropriately escalates program level issues in a timely manner Ensures project management best practices are applied to all project areas, including scope, timeline, budget, resources, risks and communications Regularly communicates program status to all stakeholders Defines, manages and meets customer, stakeholder and project team expectations Ensures the program delivers the business value as identified by the business customer Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with customers, stakeholders and team members across the program Contributes project management best practices and thought leadership to the Project Management Organization Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training or equivalent work experience 12+ years of relevant work experience Experience managing successful large programs using a formal project management methodology Experience in interacting with business customers at all levels of an organization Experience coaching and developing less experienced project managers in the area of project management People management and development experience High personal standards of integrity Role models a customer service mindset Proven ability to influence and shape outcomes through strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to think critically and conceptually Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification Helping our Employees Thrive Delivering on Our Purpose Our Continued Commitment to Ensuring a Workplace for All
Senior Program Manager, IS Project Management Organization
Your Opportunity as the Senior Program Manager, IS Project Management Organization
You will manage a team of experienced project managers and testing analysts responsible for delivering large IS enabled, cross-functional projects in support of company business objectives. Also manages and oversees large programs within their project portfolio. Creates, develops and implements program level plans consistent with program objectives, business requirements, timeline and budget constraints.
Location : Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland / Akron)
Work Arrangements : Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires
In this role you will :
People manager for experienced project managers :
- Responsible for developing people (Smucker people development, including administration of career path, individual work / development plans and performance management)
- Responsible for coaching and developing project managers and testing analysts on their team
- Overall accountability for the successful implementation of the project portfolio assigned to their team
