Lead Underground Specialist - Directional Driller

Overview

The Lead Underground Specialist performs day-to-day construction operations for underground infrastructure utilizing horizontal drilling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operating related equipment safely to produce a quality product
• Working efficiently with a proactive consideration, communicating with team members to prevent productivity slow downs
• Completing field reporting and daily documentation
• Transportation of necessary equipment including trucks, directional drills, excavators, reel carriers, towable air compressors, trailers, vacuum excavators, towable water mixing tanks, etc.
• Setup and breakdown work area protection signs, cones and barriers
• Examine / expose existing underground utilities and monitor while excavating nearby
• Operating related equipment such as directional drills, excavators, reel carriers, towable air compressors, vacuum excavators, towable water mixing tanks, drill head locate devices, etc.
