Travel Physical Therapist (PT) | Alpena, MI

Start Date : 10 / 20 / 2025 | Assignment Length : 13 Weeks

Setting : Outpatient – Acute & Pediatric Care

Schedule :

Monday–Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM (Facility prefers M–F; 10-hour days may be 7 : 30 AM – 6 : 00 PM if requested)

Hours / Week : 40

Weekend Requirements : One weekend per month

On-Call : None

Position Overview :

This outpatient role focuses on patient-centered care , delegating responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and aides while providing direct treatment and assessments. The PT will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, educate patients and families, and coordinate care with physicians and clinical staff.

Responsibilities :

Evaluate patient function through formal and informal testing of skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular systems (20%)

Develop goal-specific treatment plans based on patient assessment and tolerance (20%)

Submit written treatment plans to physicians, updating as needed; co-sign verbal orders from PTAs (20%)

Schedule treatments with frequency and duration tailored to patient needs, coordinating with support staff (20%)

Educate patients, families, and caregivers on conditions, prognosis, and therapy interventions (20%)

Requirements :

Current Physical Therapist license

Pediatric experience required

PT experience required

BLS (AHA) required

Acute care experience highly preferred
