Position description & essential functions :
Functionally test and troubleshoot all sub-assemblies, finished product, rework, and repairs using automated test equipment, software, oscilloscope, multimeters.Understand test results, reporting on failures, and working supervisor and team to troubleshoot issues when they occur.Set up test equipment to ensure equipment and tools are calibrated and functioning properly.Interpret work instructions, drawings, schematics to be able to perform tests and troubleshooting activities.Understand IPC requirements.Support our ESD & FOD control polices.Requirements :
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities :Must be able to read, write and speak EnglishBe able to interpret work instructions, schematics drawings, travelers in relation to products being tested.Working knowledge of electronic components and their application.Ability to use basic hand tools used in the electronics industry.Experience with these key electronics testing equipment : multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer.Able to fit with company culture, teamwork, and professional communication.Required education and experience :High school diploma or six months’ work-related experienceIPC 610 (latest rev) certification, preferred1-3 years of experience work in an electronics manufacturing environment preferred.A description of the physical demands :Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.Ability to sit or stand for full 8-hour shift.A description of the work environment :Electronics manufacturing.Work within a team or as an individual contributor.A description of Safety Requirements :Safety Glasses required when washing boards, trimming leads, and soldering boards.ESD environment - ESD smocks, wrist and heel straps are worn to perform work.VIRTEX is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
