Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol Unarmed Government Facility in Atlanta, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and offer exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Assist with controlling access to the premises and monitor for unusual or suspicious behavior.
  • Complete reports and documentation related to daily activities, incidents, and any security-related occurrences.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergencies and / or drills as instructed by site policies.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to occupants at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Lifting up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
