Job Details
We are seeking a highly experienced Corporate Controller to oversee financial reporting, controls, and operational finance for a large-scale, regulated trading and capital markets division. This role reports to the CFO and plays a critical part in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight across a complex, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for multiple subsidiaries, including consolidation and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements (FINRA, SEC, NMLS, or equivalent) and provide leadership for internal and external audits
Prepare and present financial performance reports to executive leadership, highlighting key trends, risks, and strategic insights
Manage and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and operational processes across a high-volume, global finance environment
Support strategic initiatives including budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and investment or capital market activities
Oversee finance systems and ERP enhancements to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
Mentor and develop junior finance and accounting staff, fostering technical excellence and adherence to best practices
Qualifications
CPA required; FINRA Series 27 (Financial and Operations Principal) a strong plus
10–15+ years of progressive accounting / finance experience, ideally in large financial institutions, investment banks, or multi-entity trading environments
Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory reporting, investor reporting, and consolidation accounting
Hands-on experience with ERP and accounting system transitions (NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar)
Proven ability to partner with senior executives and boards, presenting complex financial information clearly
Comfortable leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced, regulated environment
Ideal Candidate
A technically strong, hands-on CPA with experience managing large, complex finance operations. Able to combine regulatory rigor, strategic insight, and team leadership, making an immediate impact within a global, high-volume financial institution.
