Job title : Global Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and Americas System Engineering Manager

Location : PO Lighting USA Inc., Troy, MI, U.S.A.

Job duties : Manage, lead, build (providing strategic direction, capacity planning, and talent development), and mentor global-based Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) team (each possessing Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering fields, and several with Master’s / PhD degrees in Engineering disciplines) with 2 U.S. CAE Engineers, +29 CAE engineers in Mexico, Czech Republic, and India; and Americas Region-based Systems Engineering team with 1 U.S. Regional Systems Engineer and 3 engineers in MEX. Gather systems requirements and perform finite element (FE) models of passenger vehicle lighting products. Manage and lead global engineering teams in engineering (including simulation) methodologies to engineer passenger vehicle lighting products including Headlamps (HL), Grille Lamps (GL), Rear Lamps (RL), LED Driver Modules (LDM) with printed circuit boards (PCBs), Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) and Adaptive Low Beam (ALB) technologies, Light Control Units (LCU), using CATIA V5, Siemens NX, ANSA, Siemens FLOEFD, Simcenter 3D / STAR CCM+ / VSA and 3DCS tools. Required travel to Mexico, Czech Republic, and India to evaluate CAE methodologies, and team performance, and provide technical correlation reports to Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and 3 Regional Directors, up to 4 weeks per year.

Education : Master, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related.

Experience : Thirty-six months’ experience as CAE Manager, Systems Engineering Manager, Engineering Technologies and Methodologies Manager, or related, managing or leading global engineering teams in engineering (including simulation) methodologies to engineer passenger vehicle lighting products including Headlamps (HL), Grille Lamps (GL), Rear Lamps (RL), using CATIA V5 and 3DCS tools, or related.
