Patient Care Technician - Dialysis Treatment

Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join their team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will be part of the patient care team supporting individuals undergoing dialysis treatment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a compassionate demeanor, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location : Indianapolis, IN and Noblesville, IN

Pay Range : Around $28 / hour - depending on experience

Shift : 8 hours per shift

What's the job?

Patient Care & Treatment :

• Greet and assess patients before and after dialysis sessions.
• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines, ensuring accurate programming and safety alarms.
• Perform vascular access evaluations, cannulation, and administer heparin as permitted.
• Monitor and document vital signs, treatment parameters, and patient responses.
• Initiate and discontinue dialysis treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Obtain lab specimens and ensure proper handling and documentation.
