SUMMARY :

The Sanitation Employee is responsible for the cleanliness of the facility and its equipment. Some operations of the equipment will be needed as it will need to be moved to clean all areas. The sanitation Employee will need to know all about the chemicals used and the hazards that go along with those chemicals before using. All GMP and other sanitation protective clothing should be followed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Always follow all Company Safety policies and procedures.
• Follows all Sanitation standard operating procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring all areas are cleaned (equipment, tools, trash dock, floors, drains and any other areas you may be asked to clean).
• Make sure all sanitation documentation is signed and turned in at the end of completion.
• Ensure / verify labels for any chemical being used on any bucket, spray bottle, foamer or jug.
• Supports established GMP’s, SQF, HACCP, and housekeeping standards for all work areas.

Education and / or Experience :

Computer and Technology Skills :

Experience using HMI (Human Machine Interface) on machinery is a plus but not required.

Language Skills :

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. German language speaking skills is another advantage.

Mathematical Skills :

Ability to use basic Math abilities such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.to be sure the correct amount of chemicals is being used.

Reasoning Ability :

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
