Schedule : 8X5 Shift – Day shift

Local Pay : $76 / hr. on W2

Travel Pay : $3200 / week gross

Job Description :

The Clinical Nurse II – Perioperative role provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act for assigned patients in a Perioperative unit. Includes : CVOR, Cath Lab, Operating Room, Recovery Room / PACU, Pre-Admission Testing, Pre / Post Unit, HOI Pre-Op, HOI Operating Room, HOI Recovery Room / PACU, HOI Surgery Center

Roles and Responsibilities :

• The nurse collaborates with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely and appropriate quality patient care.
• This includes providing physical assessments, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administrations, specimen collection, meeting nutritional needs, and teaching and discharge needs of the patients assigned.
• Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet patient care needs.
• Evaluates and adjusts the nursing care process as necessary with consultation as needed and confers with the appropriate resource personnel when making ethical / legal / medical dilemma decisions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Additionally, the Clinical Nurse II meets the requirements outlined in the Clinical Ladder program respective to his / her department.
• The Clinical Nurse demonstrates a commitment to hospital involvement and professional growth by participating in committees, attending related meetings, and presenting education projects and / or supplemental activities.
