We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Healthcare Recruiter with a strong background in recruiting licensed clinical professionals-including ABEM-certified Emergency Physicians, Internal Medicine Board Certified / Eligible providers, Family Practice Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants-and a thorough understanding of healthcare regulations such as Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and credentialing standards. This role is critical to building a compliant, high-performing clinical workforce across our healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities :
Clinical Talent Acquisition :
Lead full-cycle recruitment for a wide range of clinical roles including :
ABEM-certified Emergency Medicine Physicians
Board Certified / Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physicians
Family Practice Board Certified Physicians
Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs)
Develop strategic sourcing plans using residency programs, medical associations, job boards, and professional networks.
Screen candidates for licensure, board certification, DEA registration, and credentialing readiness.
Regulatory Compliance & Credentialing :
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with :
HIPAA privacy and security standards
Medicare and Medicaid billing and provider enrollment guidelines
Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and EEOC regulations
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and medical staff offices to verify credentials, malpractice history, and eligibility for clinical privileges.
Maintain audit-ready documentation for all recruitment, onboarding, and credentialing processes.
Strategic Workforce Planning :
Forecast staffing needs and develop hiring strategies.
Advise on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and contract structures for clinical providers.
Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in recruitment efforts.
Technology & Process Optimization :
Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment analytics to streamline workflows and enhance candidate experience.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and retention rates.
Continuously improve recruitment practices to align with healthcare industry standards and organizational goals.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Healthcare Administration, or related field (master's preferred) OR.
Minimum 5+ years of healthcare recruiting experience, with emphasis on clinical and physician recruitment.
Deep knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and clinical credentialing standards.
Familiarity with ABEM, Board Certification pathways, and scope-of-practice regulations for NPs and PAs.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in ATS platforms and recruitment technologies.
Preferred Skills :
Experience recruiting for hospitals, emergency departments, outpatient clinics, or multispecialty practices.
Familiarity with JCAHO standards, privileging processes, and medical staff bylaws.
Certification in healthcare recruitment (e.g., CHCR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
