Senior Industrial Refrigeration Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to join our Engineering department located at one of our office locations or remotely. Our ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has 8-10+ years of experience as an Industrial Refrigeration Engineer or in a similar role. They will be someone who is a self-starter and will bring a strong sense of leadership, direction, and commitment to our projects.

Primary responsibilities for iENG's Senior Industrial Refrigeration Engineer include :

• Leading industrial refrigeration design and implementation projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Designing, specifying, and selecting industrial refrigeration systems and components, considering factors such as energy efficiency, cost, and regulatory compliance.
• Performing load calculations, refrigerant flow rates, and other technical assessments to inform system sizing and design.
• Ensuring all designs meet relevant local and international codes, standards, and safety regulations, including ASHRAE, IIAR, LEED, and NFPA standards.
• Preparing and reviewing technical documents, including design drawings, specifications, equipment selections and submittals, and cost estimates.
• Overseeing installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of the systems to ensure quality and functionality.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
• Collaborating with clients and owners to understand project requirements and provide technical support and recommendations.
