Title : - Research Assistant II
Location : Cambridge, MA
Duration : Contract until Aug 2026 (Possible extension)
Essential qualifications :
- Bachelor's or master's degree in molecular biology or neuroscience preferred, or related field.
- At least 1–3 years of hands-on laboratory experience (academic or industry (preferred)).
- Experience with cell culture of cell lines, primary neural cells and iPSC-derived neural cells.
- Experience in isolation of RNA and protein from cells and tissues (both manually and automated systems)
- Experience in qPCR, ELISA, MSD, Western Blot, Alpha LISA assays and analysis
- Experience with virus transduction in cell lines and iPSC-derived neuronal cells
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A creative, problem-solving, collaborative, and goal-oriented mindset
Preferred qualifications :
Experience working with animals is a plusExperience designing PCR and qPCR PrimersKnowledge of SnapGene software, Genebank and BLAST platforms for DNA / RNA sequences analysisExperience with target validation is a plusExperience using Benchling (eLN)Key Responsibilities :
Support ongoing projects in the team by performing in vitro assaysPerform plate-based assays to analyze samples downstream from in vivo studiesAnalyze, integrate and interpret data from multiple sourcesDiligently document work in digital systems and regularly communicate results in team and group settingsPrepare reagents, solutions, and samples for analysis, including samples collected from in vivo studies (e.g. tissue homogenization and protein / RNA extraction).Assist in method development, validation, and troubleshooting.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and good research practicesWork collaboratively in a team environment and manage priorities to achieve our goalsMINAKSHI SANGWAN
