A Day in the Life

Provide legal support within the US Commercial Legal team on topics including medical device and technology sales and marketing programs, commercial sales agreements, and other commercial contracts.

This position will report to a Paralegal Manager.

This position will reside in one of our Medtronic office locations (Minneapolis, MN, Lafayette, CO, Jacksonville, FL, Boston, MA, Irvine, CA, Memphis, TN or Washington D.C.).

Responsibilities

• Provides legal assistance within the US Commercial Legal team in areas including medical device and technology sales and marketing programs and commercial sales agreements.
• Assists in reviewing, editing, and negotiating commercial contracts and related documents.
• Interacts with attorneys, pricing and contracting analysts, contract managers, and customers to finalize contract negotiations.
• Processes legal requests in a timely manner in accordance with Medtronic contracting standards and best practices.
• Collaborates with other legal teams, functional leaders and operating units to support improvement and harmonization of contracting processes and systems.
• Triages issues presented to the US Commercial Legal team, meets with internal contracting and business clients, and provides direction and escalation as needed.
• Partners with other subject matter experts across a global, matrixed organization.
• Conducts research on projects as directed by attorneys or other paralegals.
• May review and ensure the company's compliance with regulations.
• Assists internally in analyzing documents.
• Participates in other projects as assigned or as needed.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD) : $82,400.00 - $123,600.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification / education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
