The Billing Manager is the lead organizational member of the team and will be responsible for overseeing and managing all employeesJob Duties : 1. Overseeing and managing daily operations of the healthcare revenue cycle department to meet financial goals.2. Implementing strategies to accelerate the revenue cycle by reducing accounts receivable days, improving cash flow, and enhancing profitability.3. Managing account reconciliation, pre-collection, and post-collection activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.4. Identifying and resolving issues that affect revenue cycle performance using analytical and problem-solving skills.5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including credentialing, billing, coding, payments, aging, and benefits, to ensure the effectiveness of the revenue cycle process.6. Training and mentoring staff on revenue cycle processes and best practices. Or delegate a specified member of the team as the training coordinator7. Oversee staffing calendar, absences, and shift changes8. Staying abreast with the latest trends and regulations in the healthcare industry to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Maintain knowledge of ICD9 / ICD10 diagnostic as well as CPT / HCPCS procedural coding Maintain thorough knowledge of insurance carriers and their claim guidelines / requirements Maintain knowledge of multiple EHR systems Maintain knowledge of the credentialing and contracting process for insurance companies Have expert knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, VA, Workmans Comp, EAP, Commercial, and all other Managed Care programs9. Develop, train, and oversee the credentialing department10. Work with CEO and COO to implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and improve revenue cycle performance.11. Providing regular reports and updates to senior management about the status and performance of the revenue cycle.12. Maintain KPIs for teams and the business and regularly report to the CEO and COOOffice Hours and Location : 1. This position will require attendance in person at our Broadmoor Valley Rd location any time the CEO or COO are out of the office. 2. Hours of operation will be 9 am to 4 pm during in office attendance3. All other hours may be worked remote as deemed acceptable by the CEO and COO
