Med / Surg RN Job Details – Wyoming Healthcare Jobs

Location : Lander, Wyoming (Riverton campus; may float between Lander & Riverton campuses)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : October 27, 2025

End Date : November 30, 2025

Duration : 6-week nursing contract

Shift : 12-Hour Nights (19 : 00-07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1990 - $2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Wyoming RN license or valid multi-state Registered Nurse license (attach to resume)

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg RN experience in a hospital setting

Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association required)

Experience with pediatric and adolescent patient care preferred (facility does not have a dedicated pediatric unit)

Ability to float between Lander and Riverton campuses as needed

Available to start within 2 weeks of offer

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct and individualized nursing care to diverse patient populations, including pre- and post-surgical patients

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans

Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments; report adverse reactions per hospital policy

Monitor and adjust specialized medical equipment; interpret and record electronic displays

Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, post-treatment care, and illness / injury management

Initiate and document patient education plans as directed by physicians

Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs, and assist physicians during exams and treatments

Respond to life-saving situations using established nursing protocols and standards

Participate in discharge planning and ensure accurate, timely documentation of all nursing care provided

Perform other related nursing duties as assigned
