Systems Software Programmer – Project Lead

About the Role
We're looking for a seasoned Systems Software Programmer to take on a Project Lead role within a state agency environment. This position plays a key part in modernizing and maintaining mission-critical applications that support child welfare and human services. You'll guide development efforts, drive system enhancements, and ensure compliance with evolving federal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of a secure provider portal integrated with statewide case management systems.
- Support planning and implementation of new CCWIS and AFCARS federal mandates.
- Enhance and maintain applications tied to child welfare and prevention services.
- Build, test, and maintain VB / ASP.NET and C# applications connected to SQL Server databases.
- Provide operational support and ensure smooth performance of statewide human services systems.
- Partner with technical teams, project staff, and end users to deliver high-quality solutions.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience designing and delivering .NET-based applications and systems.8+ years of hands-on work with relational databases in enterprise settings.Strong background in web and Windows applications, scalable architectures, and secure system design.Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and related Microsoft technologies.Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Preferred Experience
Background in child welfare, human services, or CCWIS / SACWIS systems.Familiarity with Agile methodologies.Experience with Entity Framework and ASP.NET MVC.Tech Environment
