Bartender

Wayan by Chef Cedric Vongerichten is looking for team members with a passion for hospitality, food, and beverage for his first New York property. Wayan’s cuisine focuses on the culture and flavors of Indonesia with a touch of French techniques. At Wayan we want to build a culture that is positive and engaging. Job Description for a Bartender position

• Part time position
• Previous bartending experience required (2+ years Manhattan experience preferred)
• Flexible availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Employee must perform opening and closing duties required of them
• Must be knowledgeable about the food and beverage menus along with the items’ preparations, ingredients, and sourcing.
• Must be passionate about cocktails and have a thorough understanding of wine
• Will be required to prepare juice, bar syrups, and garnishes.
• Will be required to stock and organize wine and liquor bottles.
• Bartenders will occasionally be asked to count inventory
• Basic understanding of food
• Proficient knowledge of construction of cocktail is necessary
• Employee is to be personable and engaging with guests.
• Applicant must have superior communication skills.
• Applicant must be willing to work together with their Front of House and Back of House teammates.
• Bartender must be able efficiently delegate tasks to the Barback in their team appropriate and professional manner.
• Must be willing to assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, specifically the bar
• Position will require the employee to climb up and down stairs multiple times throughout a shift
• Position will require the employee to carry items weighing 30lbs-50lbs
