Maintain accurate records of inspections, including visual documentation and checklists. Deliver clear, professional reports for stakeholders. Ensure all projects align with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Stay informed on evolving codes and best practices. Present inspection findings and recommendations clearly to clients. Address concerns and advise on necessary maintenance or corrective actions. Collaborate with project managers and roofing teams to enhance quality control procedures and implement feedback-driven improvements. Enforce safety protocols on job sites. Identify and document potential hazards to maintain a secure working environment. Support the development of inspection crews by training on quality standards and procedures. Promote continuous learning and compliance. Conduct post-project inspections to verify completion to standard and ensure site cleanliness and safety. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in roofing / construction preferred. Minimum 10 years in commercial roofing, with at least 2 years in inspection or quality control. In-depth knowledge of commercial roofing systems and installation methods. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking. Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with inspection tools and reporting software. Capable of managing multiple projects independently. Physically able to perform roof inspections, including climbing and working at heights. Roofing Inspector certification (e.g., NRCA, RCI, RRO) preferred. OSHA 30-hour certification is a plus.
