Security Officer- Alabama

Responsibilities include :

  • Maintaining control of access to Publix facilities by associates, guests, and other non-facility personnel.
  • Providing access control, routing, and shipping / receiving processing for product / equipment deliveries.
  • Conducting personal observations of activities within the facility and reporting incidents or procedural deficiencies that are identified.
  • Maintaining accurate security related records and documentation to include any / all activity that occurs, outside normal business.
  • Communicating information to security supervisors, associates, or facility management.

Required Qualifications :

  • At least 20 years of age
  • Have a valid drivers license
  • Possess a Class D Security Officers License or independently obtain a Class D Security Officers License within 90 days of your date of hire
  • Able to withstand walking and standing for long periods of time
  • Able to work any shift, including, but not limited to days, nights, late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to perform mathematical computations
  • Excellent telephone communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Outlook skills
  • Able to use a two-way radio
  • Verifiable satisfactory job performance record
  • Able to work well with others and be a team member
