Registered Dietitian

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with experience in various healthcare settings including long-term care and acute care environments. This role involves assessing patient nutritional needs, developing care plans, and providing health coaching to support patients in achieving their dietary goals.

• Duties
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and dietary needs.
• Develop individualized care plans that address specific health conditions and dietary requirements.
• Provide guidance on tube feeding protocols and monitor patients receiving enteral nutrition.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement effective nutrition interventions.
• Supervise dietary department staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• Utilize EMR systems to document patient information, track progress, and communicate with other healthcare professionals.
• Offer health coaching to patients focused on weight loss, healthy eating habits, and lifestyle changes.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations related to nutrition-related health issues.
• Stay informed about the latest research in dietetics, physiology, and geriatric nutrition.
• Experience
• Bachelors degree in Dietetics or a related field; registered dietitian credential preferred.
• Previous experience in hospital settings or long-term care facilities is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with dietary department operations and management is beneficial.
• Knowledge of physiology as it relates to nutrition and patient care is essential.
• Experience with patient assessment techniques and developing effective dietary interventions is required.
