We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting the organization’s goals. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting practices and a strong background in the design and construction industry.

Salary : up to $95k

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established guidelines.
• Manage project accounting processes, including cost tracking and revenue recognition.
• Utilize Deltek Vantagepoint software to streamline accounting operations and reporting.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to address financial inquiries and provide solutions.
• Monitor budgets and forecasts to identify trends and recommend adjustments.
• Assist in preparing tax filings and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes and systems.
• Experience in the design and construction industry required; experience with architecture firms
• Deltek Vantagepoint
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
• Strong customer service and communication skills to maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
