Your Specific Responsibilities :

• Identifies potential issues that can affect an individual's entitlement to benefits. Gathers facts from claimants, employers, and other pertinent or interested parties relating to potential issues and the chargeability of employer accounts for benefit payments on claims.
• Ensures that the workload is coordinated in such a manner as to maximize the issuance of first payments when potential issues are detected on initial or additional claims.
• Answers inquiries from claimants, employers, CareerSource Florida, governmental agencies, and other interested parties concerning the RA program.
• Analyzes requests for reconsideration from initial determinations received from claimants and employers or the Office of RA Appeals and the Reemployment Assistance Appeals Commission.

Qualifications :

As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.

Minimum : Duties and responsibilities of this position must be performed at the official work site of the Department.

The Work You Will Do :

This is an OPS Employment Security Representative II- Employment Review Specialist position in the Department of Commerce's Reemployment Assistance Programs Adjudication Unit. Job duties revolve around providing quality customer service using a variety of methods, reviewing claimant and employer information, and applying laws and policies to determine the eligibility of reemployment assistance claims using the CONNECT system. This includes gathering claimant and employer information, reviewing documentation, assessing claims, knowledge and application of Florida Reemployment Assistance Program Rules and State / Federal Laws, and completing work efficiently while adhering to compliance standards.
