Forklift Operator

M-F 3 : 30pm - 12 : 00am

Job Responsibilities :

• Operate sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently in our recycling facility.
• Load, unload, and move materials using the forklift.
• Stack and organize recycled materials in designated storage areas.
• Operate and maintain baling equipment to compress and bind recyclable materials (e.g., cardboard, plastic, paper) into bales.
• Load materials into the baler chamber and remove finished bales from the machine.
• Tie bales with wire or strapping once compressed, and prepare them for storage or shipment.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance on both forklifts and balers.
• Monitor baler operation to ensure proper functioning and clear any jams or malfunctions.
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the baler and dock areas.
• Assist in inventory management and record-keeping tasks, including recording bale weights and production.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Participate in ongoing safety training and skills development programs.

Skills Required :
