Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based Case Management unit at a Level II Trauma Center with Level IV NICU Adult inpatient population including ICU, PCU, MedSurg, and ER patients Patient ratio typically 1 : 15-20 No care of pediatric, L&D, or NICU patients Five 8-hour day shifts per week with every other weekend rotation No on-call required May float between two nearby hospital campuses (within 2.5 miles), with advance notice Uses Epic EMR, Epic experience required Responsible for acute care case management including discharge planning and community resource coordination Expected to participate in clinical interviewing and conduct patient interventions immediately after brief orientation Orientation lasts approximately 1-3 days and includes pairing with another case manager RN Support includes leadership, peers, and case management assistants Dress code is business casual; no scrubs required Free parking is available on site Required to cover at least one holiday during the contract All requested time off must be submitted up front and is subject to manager approval Breaks are mandatory and enforced Requirements Active WA RN or Compact License required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Minimum 2 years of recent acute inpatient case management experience required Minimum 4 years of overall nursing experience required Epic EMR experience required Healthcare financial and reimbursement knowledge required Post-discharge planning and community resource knowledge required ER and utilization review experience preferred Not open to first-time travelers Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-613414.
