Raymond James Structured Investments Platform Specialist
Responsible for the implementation of processes and infrastructure to ensure delivery of high-quality products and timeliness of product operations. May include learning to employ basic technological concepts (e.g., data structures and database design) in order to work with Information Technology professionals in implementing process improvement and risk mitigation projects and due diligence responsibilities such as, gathering information, analyze operational risk performance, identify possible risks and make recommendations for operational improvements to product offerings.
Under general supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through experience or training to facilitate the operational and trading functions of the Raymond James Structured Investments ("RJ SI") Platform. Follows established procedures to perform routine tasks facilitating the entire life cycle of structured investments, including initial product setup, pre-trade suitability review and checks, ongoing reporting and support, and primary and secondary market trading. Accurately executes trades for structured investments and provides timely execution reports to financial advisors. Guides financial advisors and Management in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Resolves most questions and problems and refers new or unusual issues to leadership. Routine contact with internal and external stakeholders is required to obtain, clarify, or provide facts and information. Employs knowledge to conceptualize, plan, and execute a variety of process / systems improvement initiatives that often will involve several areas of the firm outside of RJ SI. Receives Management guidance and direction to perform other work with substantial variety and complexity as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develops deep trading and operational expertise on structured investments in order to holistically support the RJ SI platform, and the financial advisors and clients who use it.
- Provides best-in-class financial advisor service through inbound phone coverage and emails regarding RJ SI trading, suitability, product education, and other departmental items.
- Provides balanced education on all products on the RJ SI Platform in a manner consistent with the conservative nature of the firm, and escalates advisor or client questions to other team members or Management as appropriate.
- Manages pricing and trade execution for the RJ SI Platform with various counterparties and works quickly and accurately to ensure best execution is met for Financial Advisors and clients.
- Monitors and maintains incoming order flow, trade blotters, trading inventories, daily reports, and error accounts to mitigate risk to financial advisors, clients, and the firm.
- Proactively addresses trade issues to resolution with effective communication around corrective measures to Management and other parties as appropriate.
- Responsible for position setup, pre-trade suitability review, and other administrative duties related to operations and trading support for the RJ SI platform.
- Evaluates department processes and technology systems frequently and works with Management, external partners, other RJ departments, and the entire SI team to streamline inefficiencies and introduce new business practices / processes or improvements.
- Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively with other SI team members, Management, and internal / external counterparts.
- Assists with more complex in research and investigation. May prepare analysis of information.
- Manages multiple tasks effectively by balancing high productivity with excellent accuracy and service quality.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge of :
Principles of banking, finance, and securities industry operations.Financial markets, and products, specifically Structured Investments (Market-Linked Notes and Market-Linked CDs).Industry regulations related to trading activities, and advanced concepts of Listed and OTC Agency Trading.Basic database and technology concepts.Trading systems and financial terminology.MS Office Applications, Bloomberg concepts and functions, and back-office applications.Skill in :
