About the Role :
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and systems. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. The technician will work closely with various teams to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. A strong focus on safety and compliance with industry standards is essential to maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician contributes to the overall efficiency, reliability, and teaching culture of manufacturing processes.
A Day in the Life | Responsibilities We Trust You With :
Promptly repair plant machinery and equipment to minimize downtime during breakdowns.Maintain cleanliness and safety in the shop, boiler room, compressor rooms, and work areas.Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery to prevent future issues.Ensure that the facility’s buildings and grounds are well-maintained.Adhere to all quality system requirements and food safety regulations.Be available to work overtime and flexible shifts, including more than 40 hours per week when necessary.Comply with plant rules and applicable regulatory standards.Follow all plant safety rules, including lockout / tag out and confined space procedures.Meet all food safety, quality, and customer requirements for the position.What You Must Know | Education and Experience :
High School Diploma or Equivalent.Post-secondary education or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.Forklift License (provided by employer).Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Experience with welding, machining, and fabrication is a plus.What You Need to Be Good At | Competencies and Skills :

You will work within a team of Maintenance Technicians to collaborate with other departments to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.You may occasionally guide or train junior technicians or new team members.Your Work Environment | Working Conditions and Safety Considerations :
The role involves working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and potential temperature changes.Adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory.Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and performing tasks requiring manual dexterity.
