Description
As the Field Coordinator, you will assist in the facilitation of surveying and SUE projects using your knowledge and experience in fieldwork, staff training, field equipment maintenance, and staff resource management.
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Stay current with technology and changes to the programs being used.
- Track and schedule vehicle maintenance.
- Track and schedule equipment maintenance.
- Track and monitor vehicle usage for safety and appropriate usage.
- Mentor less experienced staff and train personnel in correct surveying procedures.
- Perform calculations for field crews as needed.
- Compile and Research projects as needed prior to starting work. Analyze deeds and research materials for the production of the survey.
- Assure that all projects stay on schedule and within budget and discuss any issues / discrepancies with the Project Manager if needed.
- Utilize MTS and / or FDOT checklist throughout the performance of each project
- Coordinate between office and field staff to assure desired product from the field.
- Prioritize projects and their schedules as directed by the Survey Department Manager.
- Coordinate QA / QC scheduling.
- Monitor each project to ensure that the client specifications have been met and that all aspects of the scope have been performed fully and correctly.
- Review time sheets of assigned field staff daily.
- Coordinate and assist with project estimates as requested.
What you'll need
Minimum of seven years of experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Successful history of project experience with FDOT or Public Works projects, Site Development, and ALTA surveys.Subsurface Utility Engineering experience is a plus.Excellent organizational skills.Excellent time management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsValid driver's license with approved / acceptable driving history required.DRMP Offers
