Senior Estimator

Position Summary :

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for large-scale commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market conditions, and will play a key role in winning new business and supporting project delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects including office buildings, retail centers, healthcare facilities, and industrial developments.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid packages.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope information.
• Develop quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns using estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, Sage Estimating).
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive and complete proposals.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations.
• Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing databases.
• Provide value engineering suggestions and cost-saving alternatives.
• Mentor junior estimators and support their professional development.
