Columbia Community Mental Health's Alternatives is a 9-bed Residential Treatment Facility located in St. Helens, Oregon. We provide a safe, supportive environment for individuals navigating mental health challenges—many of whom are part of the Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB) program. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, person-centered care that empowers our residents to build meaningful, independent lives.
We are staffed 24 / 7 and provide a comprehensive array of mental health services, including personalized therapy sessions, medication management, and life skills training. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to meeting each resident's unique needs with precision, compassion, and respect.
This Counselor II position provides therapeutic services to adults in both the residential and community environment. In this role, the Counselor II conducts comprehensive clinical assessments as a part of the diagnostic process, reviews ongoing delivery of services, identifies individual client needs and diagnoses substance use and / or mental health disorders, collaborates with individuals to develop individualized treatment plans, and conducts individual and group sessions to provide therapeutic treatment, and behavior modification using evidence-based practice to assist clients in reaching treatment goals.

Shift : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm.
Salary Range : $66,081.60 - $83,512.00 (annual). There are 15 steps on our salary scale. We use a bona fide factor system to determine starting wage (years of experience, education, credentials, and specialty skills that relate to the job requirements).

Position Requirements : Master's degree in psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or related field from an accredited college required. Work experience in a behavioral or mental health setting preferred. Combination of education / experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered. As member of clinical staff and treatment teams, assists in case management and coordination of community resources to meet client needs.
