Facility Security Officer

We are seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead our industrial security program and manage classified facility operations in compliance with applicable DoD and IC regulations. In addition to core FSO responsibilities, you will serve as the interim COMSEC Manager, overseeing cryptographic keying material, communications security, and related procedures.

This role requires regular interaction with U.S. government agencies and program stakeholders, including DCSA, NSA, DoD, and intelligence community representatives such as the NRO. You'll play a key role in keeping us continuously compliant and inspection-ready across classified operations.

As Impulse grows, COMSEC responsibilities will transition to a dedicated COMSEC Manager. You'll help lay the groundwork, mature the processes, and hand off the program smoothly.

Responsibilities

Facility / Physical Security (FSO Duties)

• Operate and maintain secure spaces (SCIF / SAPF / closed areas), including access control, IDS / CCTV / alarms, visitor procedures, and emergency response plans.
• Author and maintain Security Plans, Fixed Facility Checklists, and Emergency Action / Destruction Plans per 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and ICD 705.
• Plan and execute self-inspections; lead DCSA assessments and track closure of vulnerabilities.
