Position Overview
Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is seeking a driven Account Manager to join our team. In this key role, you will build and maintain strong client relationships, identify and pursue new business opportunities, and ensure our services are delivered to the highest standards. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to ensure satisfaction, project success, and business growth within the industrial and environmental sectors.
Essential Functions
- Expand business within existing accounts and identify new opportunities outside current accounts.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and objectives.
- Manage accounts in accordance with client guidelines and company policies and procedures.
- Respond to client inquiries and complaints, coordinating solutions with operations.
- Secure purchase orders for work performed outside contracted scope.
- Participate in contract negotiations and provide information as needed.
- Maintain accurate client records, project documentation, and reports in the Global CRM system, including client activity, schedules, opportunities, and quotes.
- Conduct daily meetings with clients to review work schedules and project status.
- Develop and mentor supervisory staff to meet management needs and provide adequate backup.
- Report compliance issues to Operations Managers as appropriate.
- Attend and participate in project and client meetings.
- Coordinate with Superintendents for staff updates and project execution.
- Assist with corrective actions to ensure high quality and performance at all offices.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial and environmental sectors.
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients and expand the client base.
- Collaborate with operations and project management teams to deliver successful projects and exceed client expectations.
- Provide clients with regular project updates and maintain open communication.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Advise clients on industry-related issues and provide expert guidance.
- Prepare, present, and negotiate proposals, contracts, and quotations.
- Monitor project budgets and financial performance to ensure profitability.
- Collaborate with the finance team to address any financial concerns.
- Perform other duties as directed.

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or science preferred.At least 2 years' experience managing and scheduling employees in maintenance, industrial, or environmental services required.Prior experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.Experience in an industrial or plant setting (required).Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, etc.).Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to interface at all company levels.Ability to lift / move up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor outdoors in various environments.Willingness to work in confined or elevated spaces, and in hot, wet, cold, or foul-smelling environments during 8-12 hour shifts.Ability to use a respirator in environments with potential chemical or fume exposure; may require being clean-shaven.Willingness to work beyond an 8-hour shift as needed, including emergency response situations.Valid driver's license with a clean 3-year motor vehicle record.Preferred : 8 years of hands-on experience with tools and heavy equipment.Ability to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.Results-driven, self-motivated, and collaborative team player.Pay
