Partnership Program Administrator
This full-time Select Exempt Service position is based in the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC) Office of Conservation Engagement and Education's (CEE) Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network (FYCCN), serving as the Partnership Program Administrator.
The successful candidate will join a dedicated statewide team that works to 'create the next generation that cares about conservation. FYCCN has numerous conservation centers, a team of regional partnership coordinators, the Project WILD program, and hundreds of Partners who work together to encourage youth in conserving Florida's fish and wildlife. We support the delivery of programming which embody the four pillars of the FYCCN : Shooting Sports, Ethical Angling, Boating, and Wildlife Discovery.
The Partnership Program Administrator will supervise seven to nine experienced Regional Partnership Coordinators. These staff are currently located in Gainesville, Lakeland, Miami, Ocala, St. Petersburg, Tallahassee, and West Palm Beach. While this position will not serve as a Regional Partnership Coordinator, it will be critical for the incumbent to understand the FYCCN Partnership Program concept and be willing to develop innovative approaches to its implementation.
The ideal candidate must be passionate about getting youth outside to create the next generation that cares about fish and wildlife resources. The incumbent must have excellent communication skills with staff, stakeholders, constituents, and partners, and perform the functions of this position with a strong understanding of the FYCCN's mission, future goals, and thorough knowledge and application of FYCCN practices. Ensuring consistency in policies and procedures across the state and up-to-date curricula and recreation program offerings will be key in this position.
Persons with good listening and writing skills, experience with matrix management, and the ability to multitask at a high level are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership with a dynamic team, have experience with general certification processes, be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, possess critical thinking skills, and have a positive outlook. The selected person may also serve as the CEE Director delegate as needed. While Tallahassee is the preferred location, other Florida locations may be considered for the ideal candidate.
