Elevator Mechanic
Under supervision, candidate will inspect, maintain, adjust and repair passenger and freight elevator systems; maintain adequate elevator service to developments; provide safe elevator service to NYCHA residents.
Duties shall include, but not be limited to the following :
Note : Eligible candidates may be required to pass a practical exam evaluating their ability to perform typical Elevator Mechanic tasks (i.e. trouble shooting, wiring door operators, print reading, etc.)

These licenses must be maintained for the duration of your employment. You will be responsible for the payment of any fees associated with the maintenance of these licenses.
NOTE : IF THIS APPOINTMENT IS MADE ON A PROVISIONAL BASIS PURSUANT TO 65 OF THE NYS CIVIL SERVICE LAW, NO TENURE OR PERMANENCE ACCRUES TO AN INCUMBENT IN THIS POSITION BY VIRTUE OF SUCH APPOINTMENT.
