The Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) serves as a strategic partner to franchise owners, supporting business growth, operational excellence, and profitability. This role is responsible for analyzing business performance, providing actionable recommendations, and implementing strategies that drive revenue, customer satisfaction, and strong financial results. The ideal candidate possesses strong business acumen, consultative communication skills, and a proven ability to influence and guide franchise operators toward measurable success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Advising
- Serve as a trusted advisor to franchise owners, offering insights on operational best practices, financial performance, and business planning.
- Conduct regular consultations to assess results, identify challenges, and develop targeted growth strategies.
Performance Analysis & Optimization
Analyze financial metrics, including P&L statements, revenue, and margins, to uncover opportunities for improvement.Prepare and review performance reports to identify trends and implement strategies to enhance profitability.Marketing & Customer Engagement
Partner with marketing teams to execute local and regional promotional strategies that increase sales, retention, and customer acquisition.Operational Excellence
Advise on staffing, inventory management, and customer service initiatives to improve efficiency and consistency across franchise locations.Support franchisees in workforce planning, leadership development, and succession planning.Corporate Alignment & Tools Utilization
Collaborate with corporate teams to ensure franchisees meet brand standards and compliance requirements.Leverage performance platforms and data tools to inform decision-making and track business health.Act as a liaison between franchise owners and corporate departments to address operational needs and drive alignment.Franchise Development Support
Guide franchisees through strategies for scaling from single-unit to multi-unit ownership or expanding existing operations.Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in franchise operations, business consulting, or a related field.Expertise in financial management, including P&L analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.Demonstrated success developing and executing strategies that deliver measurable business growth.Strong communication, influencing, and relationship management skills.Ability to travel up to 60% as needed across assigned markets.
